About Nanette
Nanette Lavoie-Vaughan, M.S.N., APN

Nanette Lavoie-Vaughan has a diverse background in
Geriatrics that incorporates long-term care, home based
primary care, education and consulting. She has
functioned in multiple roles in long term care as a nurse
practitioner, surveyor, administrative nurse and consultant.
Mrs. Lavoie-Vaughan is also a faculty member in UNC-
Greensboro's DNP program, where it was just recognized
as the 10th highest DNP program in the nation by U.S.
News and World Report. (She also started the DNP
program at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN.)
She currently is CEO of Nurse Nan Consulting, a multi-
faceted company providing services to health care
professionals and caregivers. She is a featured speaker at
national professional conferences and authors articles on
geriatrics for multiple publications, including a monthly
elder care column for Military Officer Magazine. Her
current books are The Baby Boomer’s Guide to Senior
Care and Healing Energy, Healing Hands, an introductory
guide to energy healing.
Mrs. Lavoie-Vaughan’s consultation services focus on
advanced practice entrepreneurship, nursing education,
and long-term care survey preparation.
Nanette resides in Raleigh, North Carolina with her
husband Don and their cat, Rhianna. Her hobbies include
scrapbooking, painting, reading and traveling.
